Veritas Wheel Marking Gauge - Imperial

Veritas Wheel Marking Gauge - Imperial

Product Code:
05N33-22

Yet another handy measuring tool no workshop should be without. Traditional marking gauges use a sharpened pin to mark a line. These can follow the grain, so not always give an accurate mark. The Veritas Wheel Marking Gauge with Imperial graduations uses a sharpened wheel to slice the grain rather than depress it. The cutter wheel is at the end of the bar, and has a recess in the face of the gauge for safe storage when not in use. With the cutter at the end of the bar, measuring the depth of a mortice and being able to then transfer this measurement accurately is now possible. The bevel of the cutter pulls the gauge into the timber rather than allowing it to wander away, again another little feature by Veritas making for an easy and pleasurable tool to use.The Imperial gauge has graduations in 1/16 intervals along the 6 bar.
